Another bad weather week. We had ice storm! Everything in the yard was frozen.
However, good news, I observed two new species of birds here. Red-Wings Blackbirds and Common Grackles. 🙂 Of course, with the suet cake, the pair of Red Bellied Woodpeckers are here everyday for some easy quick meal.
they were “sharing” their meals. 🙂 The one with color on its wing, that’s the Red-Winged Blackbird. The other twos are Common Grackles.
Of course, the Common Grackles came in a pack!
I also found a Woolly Worm. 🙂
Well, despite this bitter cold winter, Spring is around the corner!
Look what I found today!
YES~~~~~~ Stella D’oro Daylily
I was worried that the ice storm would kill them off. No! They are growing~~~~~
What I need to do is this Fall, I need to dig them up and split them. So I can place them over the yard 🙂
Spring is sure coming ……. soon…..
Well, this week, with the bitter cold weather, I did do more planning on the garden and my practical framework that will be the “guideline” of this wildlife-inclusive garden.
I need to draw it out. But every element is about settled down. Thus, the rest is gathering them together and implementing this 🙂
Well, hopefully this coming week, the weather will start to turn nicer and warmer. I cannot wait to go out and start replanting and do some much need gardening to welcome all the wildlife back in the place.
I wonder how are Ms. Groundhog doing. Will she have three babies like last year? One of the babies went so far away from her that I was able to see him/her up close and personal. I did not touch the baby. But he/she was so cute. 🙂 Sadly, I did not have my phone with me to take a picture. 🙁
Hopefully this year, I can see more babies. And I sure to get my phone with me whenever I am out there in the yard.
