What a week!!!!!! We had a nice day (above 60s) and then we had a 25 hours rain storm!!!!!! Good news was the gardening area was ok. We had so much water. Funny enough, the next day, the sun came up. And WOW~~~~ Grasses, wildflowers, leaves all coming out!!!!
I cannot believe that over night, after the rain, everything is coming out. It is like, Spring is here~~~~~~
I believe that it is from the heat and rain. 🙂
Well I did visit the local nursey and bought some flowers. This time, I paid attention to what flowers attach bees. While I was there, I saw many bees were buzzing around. I picked the few that bees seem to be attached to.
The planting ground is still “weed-less” despite I removed the cardboard last week. Thinking though it, next season, I will leave the weeds alone. I only dig where I want to plant and have the weeds to cover up the ground/soil. It will help to protect the soil.
Nevertheless, some flowers are planted. The wildflowers are growing. Not as much. But I can tell Spring is finally arrived. 🙂
For birds? A pair of American Robins are busy picking worms! I could not take a picture of them. But there are a pair. The female has less orange on her belly. I wonder where is their nest this season. Last season, they nest right in the garden ~~~~~~~ I was able to see the pretty blue eggs and the chicks.~~~~~~ Of course, I never got my camera with me. 🙁
Well, with the weather is getting nicer. I am set forth to do more planting. Let see what is new next week. 🙂
